Church Ministries

At Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, our ministries work together to strengthen faith, serve one another, and build up the body of Christ. Each ministry plays a vital role in the life of our congregation and community.

Ministerial Staff

An ordained member of the clergy who serves as a spiritual leader with a focus on worship services, sermons, weddings, funerals, counseling, and community leadership.

Diaconate Ministry

Focusing on the practical needs of the congregation such as prayer, visitation, administering communion, supporting the pastor, and engaging in activities that build fellowship and godly character.

Deaconess Ministry

Working alongside the deacons to help serve the women of the congregation and build up the body of believers in practical and meaningful ways.

Trustee Ministry

Focusing on monitoring the physical space of the church as well as the financial and legal assets of the congregation. The Trustee Ministry maintains church property in alignment with the mission and vision of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Ushers

Focusing on being spiritual ambassadors, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere by providing members and visitors with direction with minimal disruption.

Christian Education

Focusing on educating and developing spiritual growth from a Christ-like perspective while helping others to serve in various vocations.

• Sunday School – Teaching the word of God with a biblical foundation, leading others to Christ.
• Bible Study – In-depth teaching of God’s word, illuminating the minds of God’s people.
• Auxiliary Education – Biblical education supporting the spiritual growth of auxiliaries.

Music Ministry

Focusing on setting the atmosphere to edify the body of Christ through song, worship, and praise, and providing supportive accompaniment to the preached word.

Youth Ministry

Focusing on discipling young people in their faith, personal relationship with Christ, and understanding how to live out God’s word as a way of life. Fostering a safe space to connect with other youth believers.
